Family Therapy
Family Therapy: Family Therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which the whole family participates in together. Commonly the symptoms that may be present in one of the members of the family, especially the children, are directly related to how the other members of the family interact among themselves, how the family functions together, the structure and the dynamic of the entire family. Additionally, when one of the members of the family is facing a problem, this in turn influences how the whole family functions as a whole but also the relationships between them. Through family therapy the members of the family are helped to understand these dysfunctional behaviours and attitudes within the family, to express their individual feelings and needs, to improve communication between themselves and redefine new boundaries so as to create a healthier balance within the family. The ultimate goal is to reconstruct and thus improve the functionality and general performance of the entire family.
